1941 – Kilmihil win Intermediate Championship

In 1941 Kilmihil met Doonaha in the Intermediate Final and won.
The match was played in Kilrush. This win was a great achievement, as Doonaha were a much fancied side and had noted footballers. John (Bawn) O’Leary, who replaced the injured Tim Ryan, notched three valuable points for the winners.

Micko Downes, Kevin Fitzpatrick, Star Enright, Kevin Mc Namara & Michael Kelly.

In August 1942, at Kilrush, Kilmihil defeated Shannon Gaels in the Intermediate Divisional Final.

In August 1943, Kilmihil met Doolin in the Intermediate semi-final at Miltown. Doolin led at half-time by 0-4 to nil.
The Final score was:- Doolin 1-5 Kilmihil 1-0

1944. Kilmihil met Kilrush in the Junior A Divisional Final. Kilrush won by 1 point however a replay was ordered owing to the fact that the referee’s watch stopped during the second half, and 23 minutes overtime was played. In the replay, Kilrush won on the score of:- Kilrush 2-6 Kilmihil 2-2.

In May 1945 Clare played Limerick and Kilmihil had three players on the team, Tommy Galvin, Peter Daly and Bawn O’Leary.
